A Bachelor in Midwifery is a comprehensive program that focuses specifically on the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for providing care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. It is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in midwifery practice, enabling them to provide holistic and evidence-based care to expectant mothers and newborns
The candidate should have done Biology and chemistry as core courses and should have a principal pass with a minimum of a “C” for these two subjects. Also, the candidate should have a principal pass with a minimum of a” D” in any other principal relevant subject to the Midwifery with Honors Degree program, as subsidiary course. These are mathematics, physics, geography.
The candidate with an advanced diploma in Nursing or Midwifery obtained from Higher Learning Institution in Rwanda or a recognized University with equivalent issued by HEC for those who got their diploma outside Rwandan Universities with License to practice
